Many Who Expect To Be Saved Will Be Lost. (Video) Part 3 of 5

This is part three of a five part series titled, “Five Fearsome Facts”. I believe this is the most fearsome, frightening and penetrating of all. It is, Many people who expect to be saved will be lost. Many people who truly believe they are going to heaven will be surprised when they die and drop straight into hell. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 7: 21-23.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In these verses, Jesus is talking to a group of people who call Him Lord, prophesy in His name, cast out demons in His name and do many wonderful works in the name of Jesus.

The people in these verses are church members! They are Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Episcopalians, Church of Christ, Church of the Nazarene, Assembly of God, Pentecostals, Charismatics and all the rest of them.

They are deacons, Sunday School teachers, choir members and yes, even preachers!

And expecting to be saved, they heard God say, “You are lost for all eternity”.

I can’t think of anything worst that this. To be a good person. a moral person, believing in God, and working in the name of Jesus and to stand before God and be so surprised to find out you are lost.
